Poached Eggs

Tips

Poached eggs are a great source of protein that is easy to pair with anything. They can be topped with spices and herbs to match any dish you make. Poached eggs should be solid white on the outside and have a runny yolk on the inside.


Ingredients

  • Eggs

  • Water

  • 2 tbsp White distilled vinegar



Preparation

  1. Fill a medium/large pot with ~4in of water and bring to a boil. Once boiling turn the heat down.

  2. In a small ramekin crack an egg. Be sure there are no shells and the yolk is not broken.

  3. Add vinegar to the water and swirl into a vortex.

  4. While water is swirling slowly pour egg into the center of the vortex.

  5. Cook egg for 3 min.

  6. Remove egg with a slotted spoon and put onto a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

  7. Repeat for as many eggs as you need, add desired spices, and serve!
